Deductions

1. If you forget to bring youir notebook when a check is

announced, you may bring I the very next calendar

day. However, a letter grade will be deducted from

your notebook score for that check.

2. Any right side assignment that is found out of

chronological order will be reduced 10% in the overall

score of your notebook evaluation.

3. ALWAYS HAVE YOUR NOTEBOOK!

GRADING OF ISN

Each time a notebook is evaluated it

is weighted as a test grade.

Notebook checks are unannounced

and can occur at any random time

during the school year.

How long should it take?

N

ormal class time is given to work on the right side assignments and

sometimes this includes enough time to work on a left side. The

expectation is that you will revisit the right side that evening, review

the material by completing a left side activity of your own choosing.

O

nce you have a good understanding of the kinds of left side activities

that can be done, it should take you about 15 minutes to complete a

left side.

Initial set up

T

he notebook should have been set up following the directions given

by Miss A. in class.

T

he table of contents must be updated regularly and will be checked

during each notebook check.

A

ny missing or incomplete part of these directions will cause a

deduction in the overall evaluation grade each time the notebook is

evaluated.
