This special opening ceremony, dedicated to Southern Cameroonian Heroes and Heroines, will highlight the rich history, culture, and resilience of the Southern Cameroonian people. In attendance will be members of U.S. executive and legislative organs, the Washington D.C./New York Diplomatic Corp, representatives of international governmental and nongovernment organizations, leaders of U.S. based religious organizations and friends of the Southern Cameroons.

Presentations, keynote addresses, and performances will acknowledge the tremendous sacrifices being made and set the tone for three days of constructive discussion on the future of the Southern Cameroons.
