Specialty Fabrics for Personal Protection Products

Goal: • Latex based apparel that can worn daily

• Fabric must retain fluids to prevent leakage

• Fabric must be easy to don and comfortable to wear

• Production process does not include a leaching step

Result: • Low levels of antigenic proteins

• Tight film structure minimizes leakage

• Low modulus material for easy donning

No Ammonia Alternative

Ammonia Preserved CL 60 is the Industry Standard

• Current low ammonia levels to 0.20 – 0.35%

• However, TMTD used as a preservative and therefore CL60 is not

Nitrosamine-free

Growing demand for improved lattices:

• Low VOCs for use in enclosed factory spaces

• Specialty end use applications such as body paints, adhesives, etc.

• Without ammonia or TMTD used at any stage of preservation

Very Low Ammonia Vytex NRLO5 (<.05% ammonia) currently available
