• Like in real-life situations, you will come across many people with different interests on the Internet. Here are some tips for you to follow when accessing the web information:

Never agree to get together with someone you have “met” online without first checking with your parents.

Never give out personal information such as your address, telephone number, or pictures without consent.

Publishing on the Web

Have you at anytime wondered how a homepage is created?

• Homepage creators use a simple programming language called HTML to do this. HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language.

• Using this is just like typing a document.

documents have two parts which are the headings and the body. The body contains all other information you want to present on the web. All HTML files start with a <HTML> and end with </HTML> tag.
