Uploading the Files

Under the Create Tab, click “1. Upload”, and upload the files from your computer, URL or other media sources.

Commenting & Doodling

Click “2. Comment”, go to the page you want to leave a comment, and click choose how you want to comment. You can also doodle while adding comments.

Sharing

Click “3. Sharing”. You can either get a link to share or select contacts. You can also change their rights to access this VoiceThread.

Moderating

Click “Publishing Options” to open up the window. Click the check box for “Moderate Comments?” to turn on the moderation function.

Click “Publishing Option” to open up this window. Check the first three boxes to turn on the function of comment moderation.

Embedding

Click “Menu”- “Embed”, and a new window will pop up. You can either choose the service you are using or copy and paste the embedded code.

Some Constraints

• It does not allow multiple users to have simultaneous access to the same account.

• It does not function uniformly across all browsers

• The free account has a space limit of 2GB for educators.

• Teacher-centered Presentation:– Creating multimedia slideshows– Engaging students in course materials

• Student-centered Presentation:– Sharing their own experiences– Holding voice/video-based online
