MOVING CAMERA: PERSISTENCE OF VISION

SINCE THE EYE RETAINS IMAGES SLIGHTLY LONGER THAN IT IS ACTUALLY EXPOSED TO THEM,

IT TENDS TO MELD 2 SUCCESSIVE IMAGES INTO ONE, CREATING A SMOOTH TRANSITION BETWEEN THEM.
