Invertebrates’ aquaculture production
Invertebrate´s thematic
Aquaculture is a dominant and constantly increasing feed production industry. The sustainable development of the sector is essential
and requires exchange and open discussion about existing information for its advance. In a series of webinars, the partners of the
AQUAINVERT project aim to gather and disseminate information focusing on invertebrate’s aquaculture, considering their potential
for production diversification and their low associated impact on the surrounding environment.
The webinars will provide up-to-date information on production techniques for different invertebrate’s species and at different stages
of the production cycle.
The webinars will be convened by the AQUAINVERT project’s partners from the Macaronesian region. Presentations will highlight
the interest for the species targeted within the project both at a global and regional level, also allowing the report of the preliminary
results obtained. For each webinar the presentations will be followed by a questions and answer session giving the opportunity for
participants to exchange on the subject. The webinars will also provide an occasion for interested parties to report about their
preliminary results, the production interest in their regions and potential future development.
Anyone interested in the regional and global development of sustainable aquaculture practices focusing on the production of marine
invertebrates is welcome, including government representatives, regional organizations, policy-makers, aquaculture farmers and
other aquaculture value chain actors, investors, civil society organizations, students and research and training institutions.
Webinar registration
Registration for each webinar will be free but required and separate registration will be required for each session.
