Harmful Algal Bloom – South West of Madagascar

• Use of EO data SST, Chl-a for the production of PFZ advisories and MONITORING OF TOXIC MICROALGAL BLOOMS

• The objective now is to be better prepared and to detect areas favourable to the development of the blooms and to come up with an early warning system

• C di t HAB 10 d i t it• Can now predict a HAB some 10 days prior to its occurrence• Research ongoing ( with funding from WIOMSA) and will be
