Climate and Weather

• In Ireland they have many mountains usually in the West and the South!

• Most of Ireland is grassland. But they do have some lakes too.

• Ireland also tends to have high winds.

• Also temperatures average about 42 degrees farenheit.

Plants and Animals

• For animals Ireland has a whole BUNCH of them! Like salmon and mackerel.

• Also they have herring, some types of trout and moles too.

• PLUS they have weasels, peat moss and a bunch of grass!

Language

• The first language the people in Ireland spoke was you guessed it! Irish!

• The second language they spoke is English! Just like us!

Flags

• Ireland’s flag is green, white, and orange. Just like the one below!

Clothes

• People in Ireland usually wear what we wear!• Sometimes they wear white tee-shirts and

jeans for boys and girls. Or for girls sometimes they wear dresses and skirts!

• And for men suits or tee-shirts. And if you are a bag-pipe player you would wear a kilt! Yep that’s right men wear kilts if they are bag-pipe players!

• And women wear the same thing as girls only a different size!

Food/Eating

• People in Ireland eat pretty much what we eat.

• Like beef, chicken, bread, fruit, pork, veggies, potatoes, and so on.

• Also in Ireland they drink beer like adults in the U.S.A.!

Houses

• Ireland’s houses are pretty much just like our houses.

• Some of Ireland’s houses have pretty designs too.

Government

• In Ireland the first government was in 1922.

• (That’s all I know about their government!)

Landscape/Ocean

• Ireland lies across the Irish Sea close to Great Britain.

• The Irish Sea is also the Atlantic Ocean!

Continent/Hemisphere

• Ireland is near Europe. And is off the coast of Europe.
