All students enrolled in an American school, including ELLs, have the right to an equitable and quality education.

It is important to remember that lack of language ability does not mean

lack of ability to learn.

Not all ELL’s are the same.

Of course we don’t live in a perfect world, and it is not always feasible to provide instruction in an ELL’s home language , so it behooves all teachers to be cognizant of the types of language development process that ELLs undergo.

Ells bring their own strengths and tasks of learning.

It’s not just about educating the ELL!

Acknowledge students differences as well as their commonalities.
