Hechler was an early Canadian stamp dealer, and military member who printed his own postal sta� onery to promote soldier concession rates for the troops domes� cally. The message wri� en Aug 25, 1908 (Tuesday) invites two girls to lunch on Wednesday (the next day), but the postage due delay didn’t have the postage paid un� l August 28. So they likely didn’t a� end. $35
