Classroom ExpectationsPREPARE •Bring items needed for class •Be on time and in the proper place •Have a positive attitude •Complete assignments on time

Classroom ExpectationsORGANIZE   Write assignments in an notebook    Quickly inform parents of needed supplies    Keep an organized notebook  Be able to find all needed assignments/materials

GRADINGQuizzes, classwork, daily work = 100

points each Tests and Projects = 200 points each

Quizzes, tests, and projects are always announced well in advance Quizzes are on most Fridays.

HOMEWORK•Given 3-4 times a week •Must show all work to receive credit (answers only = no credit) •Do in pencil ALWAYS •Start with 100%--5 points deducted each time you don't do it •Homework will be checked at beginning of class•Counts as a test grade at the end of the 9 weeks.

Make-up Work/Late WorkStudents are responsible for making up any missed lesson, homework, quiz, etc. They have 3 days (depending on length of absence ) to complete missed work.

Students receive full credit when work is turned in on-time. If graded assignments are turned in late, students have 3 school days to turn the work in for a 70...after that, the student receives a zero.

Setting up your notebookNotebook Requirement : 5-subject with pockets

Label each section :

•Table of Content•Dawg Paws•Notes/Vocabulary•Assignments•Reflection

**All assignments must be completed using pencil only.

Emergency InformationFire Drill/ Alert – One long ring….•Go outside using the door to the left of classroom•Make a straight line in the grass area and wait quietly for teacher to call roll

Tornado Drill/Warning – Three short rings…•Go in the hallway with a book to cover your head•Sit quietly on the floor with legs folded in

Classroom DismissalEveryone must remain in their desks until they have been properly dismissed by the teacher.

DO NOT LEAVE WHEN BELL RINGS…WAIT TO BE DISMISSED BY

TEACHER!
