How did we begin?

• Founded in 1960 • Owned and sponsored by the Missionary Church

Association in Jamaica and key ecumenical partnerships

• Originally to produce Evangelical and Pentecostal pastors

• Since the 1980s JTS has branched out increasingly into fields in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Clear ethical thinking • A strongly developed personal and ethical system of operating• Competence in the human services• Compassionate service, especially towards the vulnerable•Intellectual rigour • A vision to be a change agent in the world
