Early Life Art became a way to channel anger and

Manhattan by the time he was 16 Jean-Michel was 18 when he approached

Geldzahler and Andy Warhol in a restaurante but they turned him down because he was too young

Less then 3 years later he was invited to Institute for Art and Urban Resources

Career He did graffiti paintings In 1982 he took the art world by storm His art was known over seas by the age

of 24

PAINTINGS

Death He preferred women and drugs over

mostly anything He died on August 12th 1988 of a drug

overdose. He was only 28 years old.
