POSITION SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Director, Leadership & Development, the LDM
(Leadership & Development Manager) will research, create, update, implement, and evaluate orientation on boarding, supervisory, and leadership programs for
all employee levels in the FSC. The LDM will deliver the highest level of supervisory & leadership training to all levels of Sephora FSC and stores cast
and management.
Leadership & Development Manager Responsibilities
• Orientation and Supervisory & Leadership Training• · Utilize internal and external resources to assist with the research, creation, development, revision, implementation, and
evaluation of new and existing orientation and supervisory and leadership programs for all levels of the Sephora corporate organization
• · Assess corporate training needs and develop plans internally and externally to support• · Support the LDM, Stores with training sessions for store management as needed• · Manage and evaluate the corporate training tracking program• · Execute special projects when requested by the Director or VP, Education & Development. This would involve, and not
be limited to, creation and development of needed programs, evaluation and revision of existing programs, writing of education and training materials, and attending management and education workshops
• · Attend off-site trainings to gather knowledge for program development • · Build a network of outside resources to support trends and future of Sephora’s educational programs• · Conduct monthly corporate and In-store Orientation for corporate employees• · Ensure all training materials are available and updated on the store’s intranet• · Provide Plus/Delta feedback to the corporate participant and their manager at the end of the orientation and any
sessions, if needed• · Assist in Technical Training as directed by the Director• Direct Reports• · Conduct regular check in and 1x1 touchbase sessions to facilitate two-way communication• · Observe and provide feedback at training sessions throughout the year on knowledge, logistics, and presentation skills• · Challenge with special projects related to their job function and for their future desired positions• Role Model• · Demonstrate and model client service standards• · Show respect, initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility• · Represent Sephora in a professional and ethical manner at all times, following Sephora guidelines and Values
Leadership & Development Manager
Requirements · Strong verbal and written communication skills, including
the ability to design and write Orientation and Supervisory & Leadership training programs
• · Proven ability to conduct successful trainings utilizing exceptional presentation skills and tools
• · Previous experience in the cosmetic or specialty store industry is preferred
• · Experience with, and full understanding of, the Sephora concept is a plus
• · Ability to travel as required• · University degree or equivalent experience• · Be able to lift and move 50 pounds
