GP WIND’s contribution…• Address barriers to the deployment of onshore and offshore
wind generation.
• Bring together developers, regional and local government, environmental agencies and NGOs from differing countries to share experiences
• Recording and sharing good practice.
• Develop a guide to good practice and a 'how to' toolkit, which will be used to facilitate deployment of renewable energy in support of the 2020 targets.

In setting out a large scale project like this
there will always be some of this…
A little of this…
But mostly, lots of this…
A critical issue for me is…
PROJECT SCOPE
PROJECT SCOPE
PROJECT SCOPE
PROJECT SCOPE
PROJECT SCOPE
Project Scope
• The project’s outputs and recommendations will focus on off-shore and on-shore wind energy.
Giulia Cammozzini Project Manager
Scottish Government
The Methodology
• Surveys• Detailed case studies of onshore and offshore wind
energy projects. • Identifying market barriers and process failures • Pulling together good practice which can be
transferred to other regions and technologies.
The Project Outputs• Increase the consenting rate for on and offshore wind
projects
• Build evidence based support for the design, planning and implementation of projects which are sensitive to environmental and community concerns;
• Assist quicker, more transparent and less costly deployment of wind energy across Europe,
• Secure endorsement of project outputs
