Day 1: December 29, 2018 y Depart USA Depart the United States on flights to Rome
Day 2: December 30, 2018 y Arrive Rome (D)Arrive at Rome’s International Airport. Clear passport control, collect your bags, and pass through customs to meet your Italian Tour Manager, who will take you to the waiting motorcoach. As time permits, take a walking tour of Rome, including sites such as Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. Possible afternoon Mass at Chiesa di Guadalupe (pending arrival schedule). Continue to the Ergife Palace Hotel for late afternoon check in and dinner in the hotel. Overnight Rome.
Day 3: December 31, 2018 y Ancient Rome | New Year's Eve (B)Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the city center for a morning
at leisure and lunch on own. Then, embark on a tour of Ancient Rome, highlighting the history of the city dating back to the settlement of the Seven Hills and continuing through the erection of grand and
lasting monuments to the powerful Roman Empire, including the Roman Forum and the largest and most-famous of all Roman amphitheaters, the Colosseum. Evening Mass at St. Peter in Chains. Return to the city center for dinner on your own and New Year’s Eve festivities. Late-evening transfer back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 4: January 1, 2019 y Free Day (B)Breakfast at the hotel. Morning Mass. Full day at leisure to enjoy Rome. Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight Rome.
Day 5: January 2, 2019 y Assisi (B)Breakfast at the hotel. Depart on a day trip to Assisi. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Then, take a guided tour, including the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and its many significant frescoes and the Church of St. Clare to see the cross that spoke to St. Francis and led him to a life of piety. After your tour, enjoy free time to explore this quaint Umbrian town. Return to Rome for dinner on your own. Overnight Rome.
Day 6: January 3, 2019 y Free Morning | Christian Rome (B,D)Breakfast at the hotel. Morning guided tour of Christian Rome. Begin at St. Mary Major, continue with visits to the Basilica of St. John Lateran and St. Paul Outside the Walls. Celebrate afternoon Mass. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight Rome.
Day 7: January 4, 2019 y Vatican Museums | Free Afternoon (B)Breakfast at the hotel. Morning Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica. After, tour the basilica and see Michelangelo’s Pieta, the tomb of St. John Paull II and the Chair of St. Peter. Then, enjoy a visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Remainder of
the afternoon at leisure. Dinner on own. One-way transfer back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 8: January 5, 2019 y Rehearsal | Free Afternoon (B,D)Breakfast at the hotel. Morning Mass at San Andrea della Valle. Transfer to the city center for lunch on own and an entire afternoon to explore Rome independently.
Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight Rome.
Day 9: January 6, 2019 y Pontifical Mass | Free Afternoon (B,D)Early breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Vatican City to enter St. Peter’s Basilica and prepare for the Mass celebrating the Epiphany, celebrated by the Holy Father. Lunch and the remainder of the afternoon is on own. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a transfer to the hotel for overnight.
Day 10: January 7, 2019 y Depart for USA (B)Breakfast at the hotel, followed by hotel check out and a transfer to the airport for the return flights home.
