JR2 in JUSP
The most common reason for access denied is due to "content item not licensed" and this is specified under "Metric Type" as "no_license".
Other possible types are "turnaway" due to simultaneous/concurrent user limit allowed by the licence, or "other" for any other reasons.

Raises some “real world” issues with regard to using theJR2 reports and data07/12/2016JR5 and JR2 reports in JUSP
Using reports in the real world …
17
Report showed that 1 in 7 attempts to access articles resulted in a turnaway, but the reasons were very varied. In some cases, titlesreceived 1,000 or more turnaways!»Does Portsmouth have access to the titles?»Are users trying to access direct publisher content or going via a
different route?»Uncertainty over discovery platform that should be used»Helps inform purchasing decisions
› E.g. demand for older articles (can buy as one-off)› No access to current content, could be due to deal available› Titles changed platform or supplier
»Helps update local discovery service details / content07/12/2016JR5 and JR2 reports in JUSP
Next steps - JUSP
»Continue to add JR2/5 reports from JUSP publishers»Work with publishers to resolve COUNTER / SUSHI
issues» Work with aggregators e.g. EBSCO, IngentaConnect»Additional reports› “JR2plus” and “JR5plus” type reports› Annual summary reports – is this needed (no SCONUL
requirement)
