The Walsh Report During the summer months when tempera-tures are above 93 degrees, we have to take extra precautions when spraying chemicals on or around the greens. Normally, we try to finish spraying before 9:00 am. This allows chemicals to dry before the heat becomes severe. Even chemicals that are safe can become toxic at higher temperatures. This is also true for sunscreens or bug sprays. For this reason, please make sure you use these products away from the greens. Thank-you, Eric

From your new President... The dog days of summer arrived early this year and it has been a challenge for your Scotch Meadows staff. As much as you and I don’t like the heat, the bent grass on our greens doesn’t like it much either. Eric and his crew are working long days in order to keep the greens as cool as possible. When you are out on the course please look for your ball mark on the green to assist with keeping the greens in good shape.
Our pool is the perfect place to beat the heat! With hours from 10:00 am-7:00 pm, just about anyone can find a time that meets their schedules and enjoy the pool.
Speaking of the pool, we are excited about our July 4th celebration Tuesday, June 30th and I hope to see everyone at the pool for Fireworks and the cookout at 7:00pm or after you finish playing in Twilight that evening. We can celebrate early …making the holiday celebration last even longer!!
Stay cool and enjoy the summer!
Joel Hartwell
