children must now be wearing a Cancer Society recommended hat

when playing in the sun at school.

Golden Bay Schools Swimming Sports - 6th March The Golden Bay Schools’ Swimming Sports will be held at the

GBHS pool on Friday 6th March at 11am. All parents and whanau

are welcome to come and watch.

We will be taking all our 7-11yr olds who can swim a length of the

High School pool to A practice on Monday 2nd March.

Please return any Green School T-Shirts as we will need these on

the day.

Junior Swimming Display - Thurs 5th March Children from Rooms 2,3 & 4 will put on a display of what they

have been learning in swimming this year.

Starts at 1.30pm with Rm2, then Rm3, then Rm4. All parents and

whanau welcome.

Junior Assembly This week, with Rooms 1 and 5 away at camp we held a Junior School Assembly. Room 4

pupils introduced and thanked each item, with clear voices.

Room 2 showed some photos of themselves swimming, some underwater, some artwork and a

statue dance.

Room 3 read some of their writing and Sawyer and Kahu lead the Number Haka, for the

other classes to follow.

Room 4 showed their Values kete and explained each of Our School Values.

They gave out certificates to children they had observed living our School Values in the

playground or classroom.

They played and sang a class item :Whakaronga Mai” on our school ukuleles.

Everyone sang Haere Mai, Mate Mahi Ka Ora, and Fish n Chips..
