‘The Bride’ and ‘Blondie’ are representations of each other in different times. They are very similar in the way that they are both able to get out of sticky situations. Tarantino uses a female to play the role of the main character to show how society has changed.

Both names also begin with the letter ‘B’ to show the relationship.

These two characters are very similar both have superiors ‘Tuco – ‘Blondie’ and ‘Budd’ – ‘Bill’. ‘Bill’ and ‘Budd’ are two very contrasting people. ‘Budd is a scruffy piece of ‘trailer trash’ while ‘Bill’ is a clever, sophisticated yet sadistic man.

Tuco – ‘The Ugly’ ‘Budd’

Cemetery's are used in both films to signify isolation.

An unsettling atmosphere is created as cemetery’s are where the dead sleep. Often used in thrillers to set the tone.

‘The Ecstasy of Gold’ – This is the soundtrack for the final scene of ‘The Good The Bad and The Ugly’ and also the coffin scene in ‘Kill Bill Vol.2’

The soundtrack itself was made by Ennio Morricone and is as famous as the film itself.

It represents the relationship between ‘Blondie’ and ‘The Bride’ as it connotes intelligence and cunningness on both parts.

The audience would have been able to immediately identify the link between the two films.
