Keys and Key Blanks forRolls-Royce and Bentley Cars

Pre-War and early Post-War cars have only one key, a master key that fits all locks. From the Silver Cloud and Bentley S Types onwards all cars had a square headed master key, denoted by an M at the end of the key number letters eg BSM123, that fitted all of the locks and a limiter key (sometimes referred to as the valet key) that only fitted the doors and ignition locks, denoted by an L at the end of the key number letters (eg BSL123). The limiter keys are round headed. On cars with central locking for the boot (trunk) there

is either a cut-out for the boot locking or there is a boot locking switch located in the glovebox so that the boot may be secured by locking the glovebox.
