Use Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.

org) to help reinforce previously

taught skills.

This is an example of a small group poster that is

used to illustrate where the students will go during

center time.

Step 1: From your desktop, click the Internet Explorer

icon.

Step 2: In the address bar, type www.khanacademy.org

This should take you to the Khan Academy Home Page.

Step 3: Browse the informational videos that will help familiarize you with the various resources that Khan provides.

Notice that all

the categorie

s or labeled in alphabetical order.

Step 4: Under Developmental Math, click Place Value, as a skill that we will review.

Step 5: Play the video. We encourage that you save the link to your designated skill into a folder under Favorites on your student computers. This way, they will not have to navigate throughout his page. They will only access the material that you want them to be exposed to at one sitting.
