Announcements
The Fall Senior Adult Rally is Tuesday, September 30th at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church. Registration begins at 9:00 am. Properties Committee Meeting - Thursday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Deacon’s Meeting - Monday, October 6th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Upward - Registration is going on now for Upward Basketball or Cheerleading. You may go on-line and register or come by the church office. The first evaluation will be Saturday, October 11th from 8:00 am - noon. Yam Jam 2014 - Saturday, October 11th from 8:30 - 11:30 am. This event is open to everyone! Come glean a field! The location will be announced one week beforehand. Please see Robin Farrington for more information. Two Green Thumbs Garden Club will meet Monday, October 13th at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Faith Expressions will begin practice in October. Those children that would like to participate will practice during Children’s worship on Sunday mornings from 11:30 am - 12:15 pm. Operation Christmas Child - KBC is collecting items for the Samaritan’s Purse shoebox ministry every month. For the month of September we are collecting accessories: T-Shirts/Socks, Ball Caps/Sunglasses, Hair Bows/Clips, Toy Jewelry/Watches, Flashlights/Batteries. The collection boxes are at the bottom of the stairs in the Education Building and in the hallway at the back of the Sanctuary. Thank you for your contributions! Backpack Buddies - Thank you ALL for the ongoing food donations you provide for Backpack Buddies. The weekend meals are going to children at Knightdale Elementary School who might otherwise have little or no food from Friday until they return to school Monday morning. We need lots of kid-friendly non-perishable food items to maintain this ministry (a grocery list can be found in the vestibule for you to take home). The food collection

Homecoming will be celebrated on Sunday, October 5th
Our day to celebrate Homecoming will be here soon, so please reserve October 5th so you can be a part of this special event. Rev. Jeff Roberts will be our guest speaker and is very excited to be with us on our special day. We will have our wonderful Homecoming meal in the comfort of the Family Life Center, so be sure to invite your family, friends and former members to celebrate with us. Also remember to prepare adequate food for those you invite. Also, the Harvest Funds collected this year will be for the Capital Maintenance Fund. Let’s all be in prayer and preparation to celebrate Homecoming 2014 on October 5th.

Coupons for Military Families - One of our church members is collecting both expired and current manufacturer's coupons to send to military bases overseas. The families are able to use expired coupons, as well as current ones, at an installations' PX/BX (department store) or Commissary (grocery store). Eligible Coupons: 1) Manufacturer’s coupons only, 2) Current and expired (6 months or less), 3) There is NO NEED to clip the individual coupons. There is a collection box in the Conference Room. Also, if you have a change in the schedule for the children’s nursery or children’s church, please contact the monthly coordinator so that the change can be made prior to the printing of the worship bulletin. However, any permanent changes in the schedule should continue to be handled by the lead coordinator.

Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their safety!
