Discrimination is when you treat someone differently because of a

prejudice.

In pairs, come up with examples from the past of discrimination.

Stereotypes are simple ideas we have of people before we know them – i.e. All blondes are dumb.

Come up with other examples of stereotypes in your group.

Why are people

prejudiced?

On the worksheet, draw pictures to represent the beliefs, and find the teachings that match the pictures.

Positive discrimination – this is to help people who struggle to gain fair treatment, by making sure that they are treated differently, but fairly. For example, an employer might offer a job to someone who is often discriminated against.

Can you think of any other examples?

Come up with two questions to ask me –can you beat me with a question I don’t

know the answer to?
