Ms. O’Connell

Heather O’Connell is our Assistant Principal and teaches Anatomy.

Ms. Aisenson

Rachel Aisenson teaches Digital Art and SP1/2 this year.I Love teaching at Laguardia! The teachers and students are so warm and inspiring.My current favorite art forms are animation, Printmaking, ink Drawing and Fiber Arts.

Ms. Butterer

Ingrid Butterer teaches Advanced Painting and Ceramics.

Ms. Butterer is passionate about Materials exploration for building skill and capability.

SHe is an advocate for student centered learning and Loves to give open-ended prompts that Challenge each student to develop And realize their personal artistic vision.

Ms. Curiale

Michele Curiale teaches Advanced Painting and Art History.

Teaching at LaGuardia is an honor, privilege, and joy. I love working with these amazing kids, pushing them to

realize their talents and helping them to understand their experiences through art making. In my own

practice, I am a painter and mixed media artist.

Ms. Mulvihill

Stephanie Mulvihill teacher SP1 and Pen & Ink this year.

Her favorite classes to teach are SP1 (beginning drawing)because drawing has always been her artistic process of choice and thinks the Staedtler 8B pencil is the greatest art tool ever created, as well as Pen and Ink because all art is about story-telling and she loves to read all the wacky, funny, sad and poignant stories her students can dream up.

Casandra Maniotis teaches SP1/2, Illustration, Fashion, and Printmaking.

I LOVE nurturing young artists and art historians to find personal connections with the art in which they are engaged.I am obsessed with color, design and art history which is evident in my personal art practice AND my teaching practice.

Gretchen Schwarz teaches SP1/2, Art History & SP3/4 this year.

I love teaching at LaGuardia! I love working with students as theygenerate ideas for a new artwork,and assisting students in preparinga portfolio for college. Most of all I love making lasting meaningful connections with students. Staying in touch with students beyond their 4 years at LaG brings me joy!

Evangelos Viglis teaches Architecture & Interior Design and Realistic Drawing.

She feels lucky every day to work with the amazing students and staff at LaG. She loves working

with students who are passionate about creating.

Rachel Wittles teaches Fashion and Digital Art.

MS. Wittels can most often be found weaving in her studio, supporting her digital media student interns, or teaching in outfits she made herself!

What will your time at LAG look like as an Art Studio major?3 TO 4 Periods of your day will be
