National Theater of Costa RicaThis historical jewel was inaugurated in October of 1897, after seven years of construction, it started as a necessity of a theatre for private performances, but then, José Joaquín Rodríguez Zeledon, the president at the time, wanted to build a place that can meet expectations of a national theatre and decided to collect a tax on coffee exportations in order to afford the construction.

Metropolitan Cathedral of San JoseCatedral Metropolitana or the Metropolitan Cathedral is located in San Jose, the largest city and the capital of Costa Rica. It is the largest church of the city and is situated in the Central Valley of San Jose. cross from the church is one of the oldest parks of the

city, the Parque Central or the Central Park. The church has a small dome and windows of stained glass, painted wooden columns and tiled floors.
