About Us Established in 1953, Halifax Rack & Screw has become one of Europe’s largest specialist

manufacturers and suppliers of gear racks, pinions, trapezoidal power screws, jack screws, Acme

feed screws and nuts, together with a full CNC machining facility.

Initially founded to serve the precision machine tool industry, recent diversification into many

other industrial sectors has seen continuous growth with exports worldwide now achieving over

50% of turnover.

With an ongoing strategy of capital investment, including a recent investment of almost £4M on

new machinery, IT and training. HRS employs over 30 people in a 30,000 square foot, purpose built

manufacturing facility in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, UK, located in the heart of the “Northern

Powerhouse”.

dedicated to the production of quality precision machined

products and has a continuous improvement programme to ensure

the supply of cost-effective, high quality components.

HRS also offers a “Total Solution” philosophy with the supply of

parts and assemblies to save time and money for customers,

without the many disadvantages of dealing with multiple suppliers.

HRS carries an extensive stock of raw materials that facilitates

quick production of many parts and shorter lead times, which

support many Kanban parts scheduling contracts.

Thread milling up to 248mm diameter x 4,877mm long and 90mm diameter x 7620mm long (9¾”dia

x 16ft long and 3.5”diameter x 25ft long).

Thread whirled up to 160mm diameter x 11,888mm long (6¼” diameter x 39ft long).

Trapezoidal, Acme, square thread, Multi-start and custom design.
