All types of bullying are unacceptable at Priestlands

Allegations of bullying are always investigated thoroughly and dealt with swiftly.

If your child is a victim, they MUST tell someone; we cannot help if we do not know.

Parents will be kept informed.

Please contact school and speak to someone on the year team immediately if you have any concerns regarding bullying.

Students will be expected to turn their phones off at the start of the day at 8.45am and they will be expected to stay turned off until the end of the day at 3.15pm unless specifically required for a task in lessons at the direction of their teacher. The change is to promote four things:

1. social interaction among students

2. cyber safety

3. the need for down time / screen free time

4. encouraging general courtesy and student engagement with the world around them

Mobile Phones

Many issues arise as a result of inappropriate use of social media outside of school.

Most social media sites have a minimum age to use of 13 years old. We will remind pupils of this and will work closely with parents to encourage appropriate use of social media.

We strongly recommend that parents monitor the use of social media.

We strongly recommend routines at home around phone usage, especially at night and before bed time.
