FROM OUR ACTIVITIES

The miracle….

It was a very cold winter day. The sun had set down and everybody was in a big hurry to

get to their warm homes. The Christmas time was coming….

Suddenly, in the pale light of the moon it could be seen four shadows of some children…

It was Anna, together with two of her brothers – Andrew and Dan. Also, Mara ,their little

sister ,was with them too

They were starving and outside was so cold…Their dear mother died a long time ago and

their father threw them away from home. It so hard for them. Their father sent them to

beg for money. But nobody had bought anything from them the whole day, no one had

given them a single coin. They were lonely on street, while other people were preparing

hardly for Christmas time!

Being tired and cold, they decided to rest a little bit under a window. “What a delicious

smell”- they said! Outside, was snowing slowly..! Light, tasty food, families, happiness-

this what other families experienced, but for them it was just cold, faraway mother,

somewhere in the sky and a bad father somewhere at home, who wasn’t kind with them

at all.

They went at the door and they began to look through the house’s keyhole. Mara was

looking far away on street…

Now they were dreaming with the eyes wide open and they were thinking at all that joy

If they could have been in that house.

But, soon, they heard the dog barking friendly. Being frightened they were hugging one

each other and they were waiting scared to see what will happen.

The door opened suddenly. They closed their eyes hoping not to be observed. They

heard a kind gentle voice ,so they opened their eyes. It was a beautiful woman with a

good soul…

Feeble rays of the sun were caressing the cheeks of the children… They woke up and they

thought that everything was a beautiful dream- the tasty food they ate and the warm bed

where they slept.NO… it wasn’t a dream. It was true!

A miracle! –they shouted! A miracle… the echo said…

Yes, the miracle happened. Now, it was their turn to be happy, because they received a

Christmas gift – a home!

The Egg Museum,

I got with excitement and enthusiasm in our sweet

and beloved Bucovina, in the village Vama. Here, with

my colleagues will visit the Egg Museum.

From the entrance I was impressed by the big

numbers of illustrations. I was going with impatience

from one window to another, being attracted by the

decorated egg, worked with mastery.

I stopped in front of a crocodile egg, and a jaguar

was painted on it . I would like to know the story of it, I

thought my self.

- Hello, I was broken and then a collector found

me; he glued every piece of me, and then I got here

where I was decorated. Here I found out that eggs

decoration is an old Easter tradition developed with

artistry on Romanians fields.

The dialog with the egg was interrupted by the

museum guide, who was presenting us the Romanian

traditional motives used on eggs decoration.

It was an unforgettable visit where I found out

interesting things about this Romanian’s traditional art-

about eggs decoration.
