Review of –ar verbs

02.06 Grammar 7

Conjugating a verb in English is easy. There are only two verb forms to remember.

02.06 Grammar 8

In Spanish, there are different endings for each person. To conjugate the verb, first we take off the ending of the verb (–ar) and we are left with the stem.

For example: the verb participar, we take off –ar and the stem is particip_. To this stem, we add the new endings and each person has its own ending.
