Create a presentation in Google Drive

IntroductionGoogle Drive allows you creating a

presentation in the same way as creating a text document.

You can create new, edit existing ones and share presentations with other people.

You can convert your presentation into PowerPoint format (.pptx) or Adobe PDF format and download it to your computer.

Opening Google DriveTo open Google Drive you should take the following

steps:

Go to google.com or gmail.comLog in to your accountOpen Google Drive

Creating a new presentationClick Create button and select Presentation

from the drop down menu.Select a preferred theme, slide size and click OK

button.

Renaming the presentationTo give your presentation an appropriate name

click on Untitled presentation area just above the menu.

Enter a new name in the “Rename document” text box and click OK button. A new name will be applied.

Adding new slidesTo add a new slide, click button with “+” symbol

on the left of the tool bar (see the image below). Select a style from the drop down menu and

click on it.

Editing slidesUse menu bar and tool bar to edit your slides (see

the image below).The user interface of Google Presentation is quite

similar to other programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Closing the presentationTo close your presentation and return to the

Google Drive home page click on the yellow presentation button (see the image below).

Don’t worry about saving your changes. Google Drive does this automatically every time the changes are made.

Sharing a presentationTo share your presentation follow the steps below:

Select a presentation by ticking the check box next to it.

Click Share button which appears at the top of the page.

Select who can access your file by changing visibility and access options.

Invite people you would like to share your presentation with by sending them a link to your file.

Downloading a presentationYou can download a presentation from Google Drive to your computer:

Select your presentation.

Click More button and select Download from the drop down menu.

Select file format (.pptx, PDF or Plain Text) and click Download button.
