Lesson 1
• This episode will focus on teaching the students how to read through news articles and to draw from them the most important features of a news article.
• The second focus of the lesson will be to introduce the students to Windows Live Movie Maker
Heading
The heading of the article is short and eye-catching
Byline
The author’s name is written at the top of the article.
Body
This is where the story is told, the who, what, when, where, why and how and all the important information.
Tail
The tail of the article contains the least important information and concludes the article.
Using WLMM
• Learn how to:
1. Insert title slides
2. Edit title slide text
3. Edit title slide durations
Click the ‘Home’ tabFind and click ‘Title’This inserts a title card which we can edit
Click behind the slide and repeat the process for the desired amount of title cards
Double click the automatic textType in your desired text
Click the ‘Format’ tabFind ‘Text duration’Edit with the desired amount of time you want the text to show.2 seconds is written as 2.00
Now you know how to insert a title then edit the text and duration!
Lesson 2
• Students will use this lesson to focus on recording and editing their videos.
• They will learn how to insert footage, split it up and move around under relevant headings
Lesson 3
• Students will use this lesson to focus on completing and editing their finished videos.
• Trim footage, use effects and transitions and learn how to save and publish.
