Let`s fight against isolating eldery in a nursing home, let`s  fight for

a development assistance for the elderly at home!

It hurts when people are aging and infirm, when no one can take care of himself alone.

It is painful, because as due to this situation, many are forced to leave their homes in which they lived their whole life and move into a shelter.

Nobody wants to leave his house for a nursing home!

You cannot just exchange your home and be disconnected of so many beautiful memories, and  move into  a narrow, hostile house (often just a room with a bed and a bedside table). 

Solitude is notsolved if you wake up suddently among peoplethat live next to you,people that you have not chosen,people whohave different habits of yoursand maybe because of them you can not sleep.

In a shelter you cannot have

private things, your own things.Everything is in

 common: the sheets,the beds,

cutlery, dishes etc.. 

Many old people come to a nursing home against their will. Give freedom to the eldery to choose whether to live their last years of life at home or in an institution. 

In many European countries are allocated billion for construction of new shelter. But the elders would be happier if they lived in a hut, a shed of their own,not in a fancy house with no privacy, that no one impose redemption at a certain time or be forced to charge with emotional weakness and physical pain of others like them would not be enough ... 

A shelter is not the answer for a helpless old man. We believe that a solution to this problem is the development of home care.

But home care is a limited service. Applications are many. The funds for nursing homes should be redirected to development assistance at home. So it is, the money paid in pensions for elderly internment in the shelter.

They would prefer, instead of giving a pension in an institution, to give the money to a social worker who will take care of their home to do the grocery shoppings,to prepare a hot meal for them, to pay bills and more. 

Do something:Help elderly stay home and be surrounded by their loved things untilthe last moment of  their life .

Soon you`ll be like them! Time goes fast. And you never know. Would you like to live your last years of your life in an institution or home, helped by a social worker?
