Manykids,manybikes,onemission:CureCancerOnSeptember15,LexingtonwillholditsfifthannualPan-MassChallenge(PMC)KidsRidetoraisemoneyforlife-savingcancerresearchandtreatmentattheDana-FarberCancerInstitute.ThePMCisthemostsuccessfulathletic-basedcharityinthecountryraising$654millionsinceitsinceptionin1980.TheKidsRideprogramwasstartedin2005–itnowincludesover33towns,hasraisedover$9million,andisafantasticwayforchildrentoparticipateinphilanthropy,physicalactivityandthecamaraderieofworkingtowardsaworthygoal–fightingcancer.Lastyear,theLexingtonRideincreaseditsfundraisingeffortsandraised$127,000from400RiderParticipants,38Sponsors,andaverysuccessfulRaffle.Butweknowwecandomore!Our2019goalistoraiseover$125,000.ThiseventispersonalformanybecauseLexingtonishometoelementaryschoolstudents,NorahWeeksandHughClivaz,whohaveeachbeenbattlingcancerforthreeyears.TheywillbeourPedalPartnersastheirbraveryinspiresustoride,volunteerandfundraiseforthisimportantcause.WearealsoremindedhowimportantourmissionisaswerememberouroriginalPedalPartner,QuinnAmsler.
