Green-light production™
A fresh approach to light-turning The latest developments in carbide insert technology combine to give a solution dedicated to light-turning success. GC1125 and GC1515 have the sharper edges over longer tool life essential for problem-free, precision machining.
GC1515 brings high wear resistance and edge toughness in a unique steel solution. It has the latest thin CVD coating to achieve high component quality over short engagements. GC1125 uses its advanced PVD coating and super-sharp edges for burr-free production at lower feeds in stainless steels, and has the toughness needed for intermittent cuts.
Both grades are the next step in meeting today’s higher precision demands at lower cutting forces. Together they are a giant leap forward in light-turning performance.
The new grades are a direct route to Green-light production: a sign of higher output, lower production costs and a profi table workshop.
Peace of mind from trouble-free machining and the knowledge that GC1515 and GC1125 will keep running, uninterrupted, for longer.
A smarter way of working:• Burr-free, quality components•Chip control•Predictable production•Lower costs•Fewer tool changes•More active machining
Green light production: When the machine is running at full capacity, making money and driving your business forward.
GC1125- a dedicated stainless steel solution•Latest PVD coating technology• Super-sharpness, high edge security combined
• Security for intermittent fi nishing cuts
• High quality edge reduces insert wear and burr formation
• First choice for low feed rates with optimum chip control in many materials
• A complement to GC1515 in low carbon steels
GC1515– a unique performance in steel
applications• Innovative CVD coating • Edge sharpness and toughness similar to PVD
• Wear resistance keeps edges intact to retain tight component tolerances
• Adds wear resistance for less demanding cuts in stainless steel
The ability to cut with acceptable chip control at low feed rates and depths of cut is determined by insert edge-sharpness. A dull edge may cause burr formation or components that are out of tolerance.
The lowest feed rates demand sharpness, which is why ground inserts, in G- or E- tolerance are the fi rst choice. E- tolerance inserts, available in GC1125, have not only the closest tolerance for correct center height, but also the sharpest edges.
