LVC Overview

• 6 modules offering general knowledge and skills to volunteer with confidence, sector-wide

• Welcomes everybody aged 16 and over• Learners receive a certificate and their own, unique

Lincolnshire Volunteer Card• Course calendar (countywide) available on Children’s

Links website: www.childrenslinks.org.uk• To book, call or email Children’s Links • Courses can be set up for groups of 8 or more people

ALL FREE OF CHARGE!

Progress to Date• LVC Pilot programme achieved 1570 certificated learners with validated

cards. 192 courses ran in total.

• Independent Evaluation: LVC IS leading to an increase in volunteering. 75% of participants felt taking part in the training had led to an improvement in their experience of volunteering.

• Continuation funding from Lincolnshire County Council for delivery until April 2016.

• Additional healthy living content in LVC plus progression to higher level ‘Live Well Champions’ training (aged 18 and over)

Live Well Champions Training

• For everybody aged 18 and over• People can access the training via LVC or other routes• No previous background in health needed• Optional progression route to achieve an RSPH Level
