On social networks, kids connect with friends.

Friends can be anyone on the social network.

If kids, set their profile private (more on the next screen) and only allow friends they know in real life, the danger of predators is significantly reduced.

• Require that you know the login and password to your child’s account.

• Check on your child’s account routinely by having your child show you what is on the page.

• Utilize monitoring software or accountability software.
