LVIV POLYTECHNIC NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

ABOUT AMSME

Areas of scientific interests:

• Surface engineering: laser surface modifications

which produce coatings on stainless steels,

titanium and vanadium alloys of different systems.

These coatings have the properties of new

materials, like cryptocrystalline, semi amorphous

or composite.

• Protective coatings application for energy

equipment by the implantation of nitrogen or

nitrogen plasma processing streams.

• Formation of periodic structures by femtosecond

laser - is a possibility for making changes of

functional properties.

LVIV POLYTECHNIC NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

ABOUT AMSME

Areas of scientific interests:

• Research, related to the creation of new thermo-

electric materials which are based on Half-Heusler

phases.

• Studying the properties of Ti-based powders.

Development of 3D-printing technology to produce

aerospace components from these powders.

• Hydrogen themes: hydrogen-assisted processing of

materials - hydrogen induced phase transformation

in rare earth-transition metal magnets and

development of new high performance materials

for hydrogen storage and transportation.
