Peru

Machu Picchu is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its special physical building.

It represents as one of the New Seven Wonders of The World.

Machu Picchu is the symbol of Inca civilization. It was built in the classical Inca style, with polished dry stone walls.

Most archeologist believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti.

Machu Picchu is located in the Cusco Region, Peru. It is situated on a mountain ridge above the Sacred Valley.

Machu Picchu is known as “The Lost City of The Incas”.In the past, there were only local people who knew about Machu Picchu.

In 1911, an American historian, Hiram Bingham had written a book about The Lost City of the Incas. Since then, Machu Picchu has become an important tourist attraction.

This is Lama, the relative of camel. We can easily see it in Peru. Local people use it as a pack animal to carry bags of food, water etc.

Machu Picchu is the most visited tourist attraction of Peru. It is also the major revenue generator of the country.
