Find a map in the list of the countries

(Menu – Download Maps)

Type the name of the country into the search box, tap it and start zooming in

on the map

Zoom in until «Download» button appears

How do I download a map?

Open Download Maps – Downloaded, and tap the name of the country. You can update all downloaded maps or select the map manually

How can I update maps?

Maps can be saved to your SD card

Tap the menu bar and go to Settings

You can also change the units of measurement here Save maps to SD

Find the map in the list of countries and tap “Show on the map”

Once you have downloaded a map, you can access it offline

Or simply start zooming from the main screen

• Double tap the screen

• Use your fingers to zoom

• Click on + icon (you can make it visible in Menu - Settings)

How do I determine my current location?

Tap the Geolocation button in a lower left corner

In auto-follow mode the map rotates as you move. To activate it, tap the blue arrow in the lower left corner once your location has been determined, tap the compass icon to deactivate it.

To activate GPS, please enable Location services on your device

If your iOS device is 8.2 or earlier, Airplane Mode will block GPS

If you have difficulty determining your location, enable (disable, if enabled) “Use Google Play Services”*

in app settings, then restart your device

* You can see it only if you have Google Play services installed (enabled) on your Android device

• Tap anywhere on the map to see info about it. • Tap the white banner to get more details.• Tap the star icon to save to bookmarks.

Tap coordinates to change their format, tap and hold to copy them

A direction arrow with the distance to your chosen destination will be displayed (if your location is known)

Choose your destination (on the map or using search), tap on it, then tap the route icon at the bottom of the screen

"Pedestrian" icon or the "Car" icon at the top of the screen. To start following the route tap “Start”

The distance to your destination will be displayed. If you want to stop following the route, tap the cross icon

How do I create a route?To choose a different start location, tap “Route” icon on the main screen. You will see the Planning

Route window.

You can use search, select locations from

bookmarks or simply tap any place

on the map.

How do I create a route?Set “From” to select a start point, set “To” for a destination point. Please note: navigation is only

available when you create a route from your current location.

Voice instructionsOpen app’s settings –> Navigation. Here you can choose the language and turn off voice instructions. Please note that we don’t use pre-recorded voices but TTS (text-to-speech) engine. It means that the output quality of voice and language selection depends on the TTS engine installed on your device. For now, voice instructions are only available for car routes.

I can’t hear voice instructions!Make sure that your device’s volume is not muted. You can change volume level with volume buttons of your device. Android users should also check your TTS settings. Open your device's settings -> Language and input -> Speech -> Text to speech output.* If you disabled TTS via Android settings, make sure you enabled it first.

*The exact way to open TTS settings depends on your Android device

Night modeNight mode will be automatically activated in navigation after sunset. If you need it while browsing the map,

choose On.

How do I search?

Tap search icon and then type the name of your destination into the search bar, or choose the one of the categories

How do I search?

You can search using any of the following:

*name of the place *keyword *coordinates (43.9775, 15.3854 or 43°58′38″N 15°23′07.44″E format) *address (city, street, house number) *emoji ☕

You can select object from search results or tap View on map to see all available results.

Please note that search is only available for the area displayed on the screen (if you want to search in Florida, the screen should be showing Florida).

BookmarksTap bookmark on the map and expand white panel. Here you can change name, choose or add a new set and

add notes. To change the colour of the bookmark tap the red dot and choose your own colour.

Bookmark sets To change the bookmark set, tap “Bookmarks” on the main screen (star icon). You can change the name,

make them invisible, delete the whole set or just certain pins (bookmarks), and share them. Tap the eye icon to make the set invisible on the map (but not in the Bookmarks menu).

Choose the bookmark on the map and tap “Share”

Choose how you would like to share it Tap Bookmarks on the main screen,

choose a set and tap “Share”

Open bookmark info and tap “Share”

You can send your bookmark via text message, email, or copy and paste the

link in another app, e.g. Dropbox

Tap “Bookmarks” on the main screen, choose a set and tap

“Share by email”

Bookmarks/lines importSend yourself an e-mail with the KML/KMZ file attached (e.g. made in Google

Maps) and open it in MAPS.ME
