The aim in this project is to find another language in silhouette that differs from body concern constructed silhouette and focusing at shape using the aim; “Exploring abstract convex /concave cutting to achieve a new silhouette in women’s fashion” through my method where I have used convex / concave cutting flat on table to find a new starting point for draping and create silhouette. The result I find is that convex/concave cutting creates a visual language that’s abstract and communicates a sculptural aesthetic with the silhouettes shape in focus.
