In 2013, over 1000 students from across the Yorkshire and Humberside region took part in Matchfit Skills Competitions. Matchfit aims to inspire and embed a skills competition ethos within education and employment. The programme is supported by providers across the region who hosted competitionheats throughout February 2013 with the Finals hosted in March by Bradford College. The project is funded by the Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund via the Skills Enhancement Fund operated by Calderdale College.
