PREMEDICAL AND HEALTH STUDIES PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS FAQS
Can I keep my scholarships after I transition into the professional phase of the Premedical and Health Studies professional pathways?
Yes, in some instances. For more information about scholarships, please contact your Admission Counselor.*
If I decide not to pursue the professional pathways, what can I do with a Bachelor of Science in Premedical and Health Studies?
You can go on to do research, work in a lab, become a health educator, or work in a variety of non clinical roles at a healthcare facility. By adding a minor, your BS in Premedical and Health Studies becomes a very flexible degree.
Does MCPHS provide research opportunities to Premedical and Health Studies students?
MCPHS has a SURF program, Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships, which affords research opportunities with our own faculty to qualified students. In addition, our location in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area offers plentiful opportunities for research internships at world-renowned hospitals and labs, some of which are Harvard affiliated.
