What is a millimeter?
• A millimeter is even smaller than a centimeter• One centimeter is made up of 10 millimeters!
When you measure in millimeters. . .
• Each line is one millimeter, so you can count those lines to get the total number of millimeters.
• Every big line shows the centimeters or 10 millimeters making it easier to count by tens for longer measurements.
The side of a dime measures only a few millimeters!

Great Job!
• You figured out Millimeters!• You’ve unlocked the next section, move on
and Watch a short review video from 2-minute math on youtube!
How can I use this?
• Measuring is a great tool, you can make sure things fit together, when making a birdhouse or even making sure you have room for something new at home, measure where it should go then measure how long it is, if it is the same or shorter than the space it should fit together!
Quiz Time!
• if you need to go back and review go ahead!• Are you ready to test out your measuring
skills?
