What kind of media institution might distribute your

media product and why?

I think IPC Media would be an appropriate media institution to distribute my media product because they are not currently distributing any magazine similar to ‘The Buzz’. Although they are distributing ‘NME’ a music magazine which does have similarities with mine, ‘NME’ is aimed at young men, whereas my magazine is aimed primarily at young women/girls.

Whereas other institutions like Bauer already distribute ‘Q’ and ‘Kerrang’ magazine which are both very similar to my magazine in genre and overall house style, so therefore would not be an appropriate institution to distribute my magazine as ‘The Buzz’ would be in direct competition with these other well established music magazines even though they are also directed at young men and ‘The Buzz’ is aimed at young women/teenagers.
