What is a megacity?

• A city with a population larger than 10 million people.

• There are 33 megacities in the world.

Complete the Chart

• On the next slide, you will see a list of the top fifteen largest cities in the world.

• You will complete the chart on your handout by writing in the name of the city and its country.

• Then, you will determine the world region that each city is a part of.
