BHS Librarian, Amy Adams,
encourages all students to use the school library. She worked hard over the summer reorganizing the books and materials following new carpet installation and new paint. The library is available in the mornings before school and at each lunch recess for students to work independently. Students may come in to work on projects, complete homework, study, check in/out a book, or simply read. The
librarian and the library are excellent resources for you in your academic endeavors. Stop by and check it out! See you soon!!

September was a busy month; it ended with the 3rd Annual Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival. Several students participated in the festivities. October was an even busier month. Many students felt overwhelmed with all the studying they had to do for exams, but were rewarded with a week-long break for the Washington Parish Free Fair. BHS students contributed dozens of works for the Arts Exhibit, both visual and written. Many of these submissions received ribbons for excellence. The Big Bad Lumberjack Marching Band and Army JROTC drill team looked stunning in the Washington Parish Free Fair parade. We ended October on a high note with all of our Homecoming activities.
