A CLASSIC PROBLEMClassic car enthusiasts are reporting frequent cases involving serious wear on camshafts and cam-followers. Part of this problem is caused by the reduction of ZDDP (the traditional anti wear additive) in modern “low saps” engine oils.
THE SOLUTIONMillers Oils formulations include the optimum amount of ZDDP to provide the best possible protection for highly loaded engine components, significantly reducing wear in both high performance and older classic cars.

The Millerol range is suited to veteran and vintage cars manufactured up to the 1930s, when vehicles did not have any sophisticated form of filtration. The Millerol range is superior to original lubricants and, as then, does not contain dispersants or detergents which hold deposits in suspension. The Millerol range contains an additive package that reduces wear and prevents oxidation and rusting.

The Pistoneeze monograde range is suited to veteran and vintage vehicles where a monograde oil is required and the owner is confident that there is no dirt or debris collected in the crankcase. Also ideal for later vehicles built from the early 1930s to the early 1960s with superior oil filtration systems which were designed to run on monograde oils with some detergent and dispersant additives.

MULTIGRADES
Fully synthetic high performance, low friction engine oil intended for classic high performance vehicles where this performance level is required. Part of the award winning Millers Oils NANODRIVE Low Friction Technology range. Formulated to provide a higher level of protection for classic cars. Reduced friction leads to both power and torque gains, improved fuel economy and a reduction in wear and heat generation.
CLASSIC HIGH PERFORMANCE 20w50 NT
Semi synthetic, high quality engine oil formulated for discerningowners of primarily pre-1980 high performance classic engines. The synthetic content provides superior cold flow characteristics, lower volatility, higher resistance to oxidation, higher film strength and a higher temperature capability than mineral oils. Formulated to the maximum viscosity for SAE 50.
CLASSIC SPORT 20w50
Mineral engine oil for classic petrol and diesel engines of primarily pre-1980 vehicles. The modern technology ensures an oil which will meet ‘period’ performance requirements along with up-to-date specifications.
CLASSIC 20w50
A dual purpose 20w50 preservation oil for storage and limited running of petrol or diesel engines. Primarily for engines, but can be used for transmissions requiring this grade and specification.
CLASSIC PRESERVATION OIL
Formulated for engines from 1960 onwards where engine and transmission share a common lubricant. Ideal for classic Minis and bikes where the clutch runs in engine oil. The additive package protects ball, roller and needle bearings found in the gearbox and provides extreme pressure (EP) protection levels higher than conventional engine oil equal to API GL4 for gearboxes.

Multigrade oils were introduced in the early 1960s to solve theproblem of using different grades in summer and winter.

For veteran and vintage transmissions. Monogrades containing anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives, but excluding the EP additives which can harm yellow metals. Designed for applications in older vehicles.

CLASSIC GREEN GEAR OIL 140
EP GEAR OILS – GL4
Contains EP (extreme pressure) additives for bevel and lightly loaded hypoid gears. EP gear oils exceeding API GL4 for classic transmissions & axles requiring GL4 performance which is also suitable for brass & bronze components i.e. non stain.

FUELTREATMENTS
THE REMOVAL OF LEAD FROM FUELS AND THE ADDITION OF ETHANOL CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR CERTAIN CLASSIC VEHICLES RANGING FROM VALVE SEAT RECESSION TO FUEL SYSTEM CORROSION.Ethanol attacks rubber hoses and seals in fuel systems and metallic parts such as brass and zinc. It also attracts water which can cause corrosion and poor starting. Endorsed by the FBHVC as a fuel additive for protection against corrosion in metals.
