Convened Mindanao 1325, a network promoting the UN Resolution 1325 and

Philippine National Action Plan

Key activities include: documentation and monitoring of UN 1325 and NAP

implementation, advocacy and campaign, lobby for the passage of local legislation on

women, peace and security

Hosted the UN Open Days on “Women,

Peace and Security” in Davao

Lobbied for adoption of gender provisions in the

GRP-MILF peace agreement

Conducted gender training of peace monitors of the International Monitoring Team in Cotabato City

Produced video on “Women, Peace and Security” featuring stories of women caught in conflict who

ensured their families survival, and the successful initiatives of women’s groups in the protection of women’s rights, promoting the

participation of women in decision-making and their roles in the prevention and resolution of

conflict
